Fusion of English Harness Leather and Italian Leather
The money clip is a smart and stylish item to add color to your accounting. The body is made of traditional bridle leather, used for harness leather in England, while the interior is crafted from vegetable-tanned oiled nubuck from Italy. The functionality of bridle leather, capable of holding not just banknotes but also cards, is paired with the weight, outstanding durability of harness leather, and the smooth feel of oiled nubuck, creating a product that's elegant and highly practical.
[Main Body Leather]
The main body is made of [Bridle Leather] (Color: Evergreen), crafted at [Thomas Ware & Sons], a renowned tannery in Bristol, England, boasting over 170 years of history. The leather is pit-tanned, soaked with waxes like beeswax and vegetable oil for over 10 weeks by hand, making it robust and water-repellent. The white powder on its surface, called "bloom," symbolizes bridle leather. *The blooming degree varies per product.
[Interior Leather]
The interior is luxuriously crafted from oiled nubuck leather [Texas] (Color: Natural), produced by the bucketta method at the longstanding company [Tempesti] in the Santa Croce district of Italy, the birthplace of vegetable tanneries. Unlike suede, nubuck is processed on the leather's bard (front side), ensuring durability and a smooth touch. [Texas] contains ample oil, enhancing its luster and color with use.
[Slim Design]
The money clip's slim design is its most attractive feature, capable of holding the minimum necessary amount of bills and cards, making it both stylish and comfortable in a pocket.
[Money Clip]
A clip portion designed to securely hold banknotes. The tip is slightly aligned for easy raising by hooking a finger.
[Card Pockets]
There are two card pockets on each side, totaling four cards, arranged spaciously for easy insertion and removal.
[Beautiful Polished Surface with a Cut Grain Finish]
"Kirime Hon-Igaki" is the most traditional and valuable method of Kova finishing. The process involves scraping the kova surface flat, soaking it with dye, glue, and wax, then polishing it to resemble a single piece of leather from multiple ones. It's a testament to hand-finishing by craftsmen, not mass-produced.
