Conceived with Sei-katsu-sha for sustainable conservation of the natural environment through art
This canvas is made of TSUMUGI, a sustainable paper yarn made from unused paper resources and unused thinned wood.
It was conceived with the participation of Mira Hasegawa, a Generation Z opinion leader on sustainability and social issues, and was developed through workshops and other activities with consumers in a project to consider new textile products.
The canvas, made of a fabric that takes advantage of the characteristics of paper yarn and a frame made from unused thinned wood, was created with the aim of bringing the natural environment closer to those who hold it in their hands.
The canvas art is completed when you pick up the paper-thread canvas, paint on it, and display it. Please feel free to draw your own thoughts and feelings about the sustainable conservation of the natural environment and the future.
