The Home series is based on the theme of things that accompany you when you are relaxing at home, and was renewed in September 2023 with a total of 15 types to choose from. This is a card with an illustration of a notepad (what is written in the scribble is left to your imagination!) (You can guess what is scribbled on the card!).
The card and envelope are made of a combination of papers that are comfortable to the touch, hoping to offer comfort to both the writer and the reader of the letter. The card is made of a paper that is firm and thick, but has a smooth surface and is very pleasant to the touch. The corners are rounded to add gentleness. The envelopes have a strangely moist feel to the touch. The crisp white ground, like a freshly washed sheet, is embossed with a pattern that looks like a wavy cloud, and the specifications are such that you will enter a peaceful world even before you open the envelope.
I wanted to express relaxation from all angles, so I took a different approach in creating the design from the other series. I made a rough sketch of about 3 cm on a notebook that I usually use, and then enlarged it to make a clean sketch. When the designer (Taishi) doodles in the corner of the notebook, he can relax his mind and heart, so he used this method to create all the designs in order to capture that feeling.
At first glance, it looks like a simple black-and-white line drawing, but in fact, all of the notepad drawings (including the scribbles!) are made of black and white line drawings. It is puffy to the touch and the black lines are raised. We wanted the letter to have a little surprise, so we made the printing process a little more special. After hand-printing each sheet with silk-screen printing, we apply a special powder and heat, and the inked areas are embossed to make them bulge out.
