What is Gold Filled?
It is a 14-karat gold crimped on a material (brass).
If the weight of the gold is more than 1/20th of the total weight, it is called gold-filled.
While the surface of the 14k gold is completely 14k gold, the invisible (not touching the skin) core is made of brass, making it an allergy-friendly material, depending on the individual.
The appearance is similar to that of gold parts, but unlike the appearance of plated parts, it is more durable (less likely to peel off) than plated parts.
