Luxury of choice of expression created by time and effort
The Smoked Series is fan-finished with colored burning foil, utilizing the sulfidation phenomenon of silver.
Silver has the property of discoloring and gradually turning black when it compounds with sulfur in the air, and we use foil of a color that has stopped changing over the course of time.
In this day and age of technology and printing technology that allows for immediate output as soon as it is input.
While many things are born and disappear with an instant feeling, I think the scarcity of identity, materiality, and techniques created over time is increasing.
Among the abundance of fast items, choosing an identity and an expression of time is the most elegant choice in today's busy life.
The unique weighty texture, the texture of the organic part of silver that fascinates
Smoked silver is produced by smoking silver.
Silver turns from a beautiful silver color to brownish, red, purple, blue-green, and finally black by compounding with sulfur in the air.
Using this property, we express the Japanese virtue of "wabi" by using colored burnt foil and hand-pressed foil.
By stamping the yakifoil, which shows a different expression on each piece of paper, rather than simply coloring the paper with ink or pigment, the uneven parts of the foil give it a special flavor and make the fan a special piece.
The foil is pressed purely by lining up the foil in a plain manner to directly convey the sense of the material of the foil.

The foil is made of silver foil that has been smoked to bring out its color.
Silver has a very sensitive nature, and there may be some color change after long use, but we hope you will enjoy that change over time as well.
Also, since the foil is used, the color may give a different impression depending on how the light hits the foil. Please understand this.

Holding a fan
The folding fan has always been a part of the etiquette of the art and samurai society, and has always been worn by the privileged class as a part of the Japanese spirit, just as the sword is.
In today's busy world, where the richness of the individual mind is being reevaluated, how about incorporating the identity of what the Japanese consider beautiful and what has brought them to the present day into our daily lives?
