It is dyed by a traditional stencil dyeing method called chusen, and has no front and back. This is a series of patterns drawn by Eri Shimatsuka, a textile designer active mainly in Scandinavia, on the theme of "folk crafts of Miyako Island".
The name of the pattern [AMU] represents the origin of folk crafts in Miyako Island, where plants such as kuba and adan were used to weave folk tools.
Two colors are available: [TURQUOISE] (monochromatic dyeing), which is inspired by the colors of the Miyako sea, and [ROSELLE] (gradation dyeing), named after the reddish purple plant Roselle.
