One that concentrates the charm of the silver material
By using silver foil, silver aging process, and black foil powder created by sulfurization, the various charms of silver are packed into the surface of the fan to create a piece that gives you a sense of the material.
While many things are born and disappear with an instant feeling, I think the scarcity of identity, materiality, and techniques created over time is increasing.
Among the abundance of fast items, choosing an identity, an expression of time, is perhaps the most elegant choice in today's busy life.
Tailoring by Miyawaki Urugian
This product is tailored by Miyawaki Urasen-an, one of Kyoto's most famous and long-established craftsmen.
Each part of the work, including the fan bone, folding, and attaching, is done by skilled craftsmen, and strict inspections are carried out to ensure the quality and service that are typical of a long-established company.
Fan surface: Japanese paper, burnt foil, silver foil, double-sided processing
Fan bone: Karaki wooden bone
Height: approx. 22.5 cm (7.5") x width: approx. 41.5 cm
Each piece is handmade, so there may be some individual differences.
Silver has a very sensitive nature, and there may be a slight color change after long use, but we hope you will enjoy the change over time as well.
Also, since foil is used, the color may look different depending on how the light hits it. Please understand this.

Holding a fan
The folding fan has always been a part of the etiquette of the art and samurai society, and has always been worn by the privileged class as a part of the Japanese spirit, just as the sword is.
In today's busy world, where the richness of the individual mind is being reevaluated, how about incorporating the identity of what the Japanese consider beautiful and what has brought them to the present day into our daily lives?
