Shipping Process with Orosy

Our marketplace connects you with a variety of independent brands.
Here’s how the shipping process works with orosy:

1. Place Your Order
When you place an order, the payment for the products is processed through Shopify.

2. Delivery to orosy Warehouse
The brands ship their products to orosy’s contracted warehouse in Tokyo.

3. Inspection and Repackaging
After the products arrive, they undergo inspection and repackaging. The international shipping cost is then determined.

4. Shipping Invoice and Payment
We will send you an invoice for the confirmed international shipping fee, which you can pay through Shopify.

5. Shipment to Buyer
After payment, your order will be shipped from the warehouse directly to you.

 

 

Shipping Costs with orosy

The estimated shipping fees are calculated based on orosy’s international shipping rate.
Please refer to the orosy shipping rate card below (in US dollars per kilogram).

  • The shipping fees are calculated based on the actual and volumetric weight of your order.
  • Chargeable weight over 0.1 kg will be rounded to the next whole kilogram.
  • For example, a 5.1 kg order shipping from Japan to Hong Kong will cost approximately $57.19.

Important notes regarding the shipping fees


 *International shipping costs vary depending on weight and size, so please use the table as a reference.
 *After the international shipping cost is determined, please note that if you wish to cancel the shipment, the purchased items will be discarded by us, and no refunds will be issued for the product price.
 *The shipping cost will be calculated based on the exchange rate at the time of confirmation, so it may differ from this estimate. The table is calculated using an exchange rate of 1 USD = 140 JPY.
 *Certain categories of products or specific destinations may require special shipping methods, which could result in higher costs than those listed in the estimate (e.g., food, liquids).
    Please check the "Special Shipping Rates" tab for more information.
 *A peak season surcharge will be applied from September 16, 2024, to January 31, 2025. The additional charges vary depending on the destination country and will range from $0.2 to $2 per kilogram.
  *For shipments over 21kg, an additional fee will apply for each additional kilogram. Please contact us for further details.
    *Please make your payment within 5 days of receiving the shipping invoice. If the payment is not made, an additional charge of $5 USD will be applied for every week starting from the 6th day.


Orosy International Shipping Storage & Disposal Policy

1. Storage Period

Once shipments from suppliers arrive at the Orosy contracted warehouse, they will undergo inspection and repackaging before the international shipping fee is finalized and invoiced to the buyer.

After the shipping invoice is sent, the shipment will be stored free of charge for 5 days at the Orosy contracted warehouse.

2. Additional Storage Fees

If payment is not received within 5 days of the shipping invoice being sent, an additional storage fee of $5 USD per week will be charged.

Example:

  • February 1: Shipping invoice sent
  • Until February 5: Free storage period
  • February 6: First additional storage fee ($5 USD) charged
  • February 13: Second additional storage fee ($5 USD) charged
  • February 20: Third additional storage fee ($5 USD) charged
  • After February 27: If payment remains unpaid, an additional $5 USD storage fee will be charged every week

3. Actions in Case of No Response

If the buyer does not respond after the shipping invoice has been sent, the following actions will be taken:

  1. Reminder notifications will be sent periodically after the shipping invoice is issued.
  2. If 30 days pass without payment or response, a final notice will be sent.
  3. If there is no response within 7 days after the final notice, the shipment may be discarded.

4. Disclaimer

  • Orosy and the contracted warehouse are not responsible for any shipments that are discarded after the storage period ends.
  • No refunds or compensation will be provided for discarded shipments. Please ensure payment is made within the designated timeframe.
