SOROR original blankets are made of a wonderful natural material called merino wool, which is friendly to both the environment and people. Each blanket is carefully produced one by one at a small family-run factory in a small town that has been in operation for over 35 years in New Zealand.
It can be used as a baby blanket, as a lap blanket, inside the house or when going out, and can be used throughout the year regardless of the season. It is also recommended as a gift.
It will be delivered in a tote bag without wrapping.
[Merino Wool Characteristics]
Soft and Loveable
Merino wool fiber is finer and softer to the touch than any other sheep fiber. It is not prickly at all when it touches the skin.
Warm and Cool
Merino wool's low thermal conductivity makes it feel as if it has a built-in temperature regulator.
Tiny scales on the surface of the fiber and the fiber's crimp (shrinkage) create [air pockets] that keep you warm when it is cold outside and cool when it is hot. This is why sheep can stay comfortable all year round even when their wool is fluffy.
Durable and Elastic
Merino wool, a natural fiber, is strong and durable due to the interlocking of individual fibers as a result of its protein structure. The natural crimp of the wool also helps to increase its elasticity and strength. As a result, it does not lose its shape easily.
Self-cleansing and Odor-resistant
Since moisture does not remain on the surface of the fiber, bacteria and fungi that cause odors do not grow, and the smell of sweat does not occur even when sweating. It has excellent deodorant and odor-resistant properties, and can be used comfortably without washing, simply by hanging it up and exposing it to a light breeze.
Sustainable and Fully degradable
Merino wool is a natural, environmentally friendly, and biodegradable fiber with excellent thermoregulatory properties. It is therefore arguably the highest ranked sustainable fiber in the clothing industry.
Hypoallergenic
It is well known that merino wool is beneficial for allergy and asthma sufferers. According to recent medical research, merino wool acts as a [second skin], stabilizing humidity levels and the microclimate of the skin's surface, and is also considered a natural treatment for eczema. It acts to reduce symptoms such as itching, skin redness, and rashes, especially in children and people with dermatological problems.
