What is "more trees"?
More trees is a forest conservation organization founded in 2007 by Ryuichi Sakamoto, a musician, and headed by Kengo Kuma, an architect.
The organization is engaged in a variety of activities under the slogan of "connecting cities and forests," including the development of "more trees forests," in which forests are preserved in collaboration with local communities, the planning and development of products using domestic timber, and the dissemination of information about forests and their attractions through events.
We collaborate with creators and local artisans to make effective use of the bounty of forests.
