◆Dishes that allow you to feel the sense of wooden material
The "MOKU" series was created in pursuit of a finish that would allow people to feel the beauty and materiality of uniquely Japanese "wooden dishes" in modern life scenes. This is a red and black Suri-Urushi version of a round dish from the MOKU series.
You can enjoy the beauty of the grain of the wood as well as the red and black tones of the lacquer.
This product is the smaller of the two sizes (diameter 24.0 x 3.2 cm).
It can be used not only as a serving dish for side dishes, but also as a pasta dish, a dish for pilaf, or a dish for serving cookies or sweets. It can also be used as a slightly larger serving dish.
The surface is properly coated with lacquer, so it can be used to serve soupy dishes or salads with dressing. The red and black coloring of the plate makes the green color of vegetables and the white color of rice look more attractive and delicious.
◆Two color variations of shades: red suri and black suri
Two colors, red and black, are available in a sliding lacquer (wipe lacquer) finish that reveals the grain of the wood. It may be fun to have them in different colors.
A new sense of lacquerware created in collaboration with a designer
Originally, the MOKU series was created by combining the wood processing technique called "rokurobiki," which is unique to lacquerware, with the design of designer Kashige Miyake (miyake design), to simply express the beauty and materiality of wood.
The MOKU series products have a natural design that makes the most of the texture of the wood itself, so they look great no matter what you serve on them.
The MOKU series also includes bowls, mini cups, and other items, making it a great gift set for Father's Day, Mother's Day, longevity celebrations, birthdays, and other occasions.
The simple design also blends well with Western spaces, making it a great gift for people overseas.
[Please note]
*[MOKU] series products are designed to utilize the texture of wood as much as possible.
Therefore, the grain of the wood may vary from piece to piece, and the color of the wipe lacquer may also vary slightly.
We appreciate your understanding.
