    Agasuke is a dialect word from the Tohoku region of Japan, which means "dressed up" or something similar. Despite its ironic name, the delicate handiwork of this pottery is evident. Uneven shades of gray are created by intentionally applying a thin layer of glaze, and the unique curves and fine, hairline-like texture are created by further shaving the molded fabric. This beautiful vessel shows the original charm of porcelain.
