The motif of this bowl is "Ido Chawan," a type of Koryo tea bowl that was introduced from the Korean Peninsula around the 16th century. The size of the bowl, about the size of a large tea bowl, and the moderate curvature of the bottom without squeezing the legs make it suitable for various uses and useful as a tea bowl or a small bowl.
