    Two rectangular pieces of shikishi paper placed one on top of the other are called "shikishi kakki-gatagata", which seems to be a favorite shape in Japan.
    I drew a nice checkered pattern on it.
    [The checkered pattern was named after Ichimatsu Sagawa of the Nakamuraza Theater in Edo, who wore hakama with this pattern in 1741.
    It is a very stylish pattern for the Edo period.
