Textiles
[kirameku]: Sparkling by the chambre effect (warp and weft yarns in opposite colors).
This textile uses a technique called kirameku, which is a characteristic of Isesaki Meisen. It is very rare. This is a brand-new cloth woven between Taisho and Showa periods.
What is "Kyoyo-kasuri"?
This is a weaving technique in which the warp and weft yarns are woven one by one on a hand weaving machine, not only applying the color pattern to the warp but also to the weft (textile printing). Since both the warp and weft have patterns, advanced weaving techniques were required to produce the patterns.
Materials:
Outer fabric: 100% silk (Meisen)
Inner lining: 100% polyester
