Kurume Kasuri
Kurume Kasuri is a traditional yarn-dyed fabric representative of Japan.
It is woven by Kurume Kasuri weavers, established in 1948, using a belt-type power loom connected to a single motor.
SQUARE" Vertical Kasuri
A collection of original textiles woven with the tate-kasuri technique.
The folk-art style pattern, which evokes a nostalgic feeling, is expressed by the tate-kasuri technique, which uses kukuri yarn for the warp threads. The distinctive look of the pattern is characterized by the up-and-down grazing.
Two colors are available: white (ivory), which is rarely seen in Kurume Kasuri, and navy blue with a hint of black.
