After graduating from Seikei University with a degree in Economics, Nao started working in the music industry because she wanted to work in a place where music is played. She was in charge of soundtracks and world music at an e-commerce company, where she was exposed to a lot of new and old music every day, and became interested in fashion and accessories that expressed the world of music through movies, music videos, and CD jackets. After retiring, in 2007, she started selling handmade accessories on her website, which became a permanent fixture in handmade stores nationwide.
