Kinsai craft is a technique established in the Momoyama and Edo periods for applying gold leaf to cloth such as obi belts and kimonos.

This is a Douchu wallet made of cotton-ox dark pink material with an original checkered pattern gilded with a medium color (a color between gold and silver) mud, utilizing this technique so that it can be used for a long time in today's daily life.

The braided cord is golden brown.

A "Michu wallet" is a three-fold wallet, which is said to have been used by travelers since the Edo period (1603-1867) to carry money and important documents in their pockets when they set out on a journey.
The lining of this item has a checkered pattern.
The ojime part is a ceramic ojime.
The zipper knob is made of bamboo.
The specifications are a bill compartment and a zipper coin purse.

The size is approximately 10 cm (length) X 18.5 cm (width) when folded X 23.5 cm (length) when extended.

It has to be rolled up and unwound with a string, but the act of doing so gives a sense of Japanese taste.

In addition to wallets, it can also be used as a tool case for pens, hobby tools, etc.
