    The green leaves of the fountain grass, which remain unchanged throughout the year, and the red berries, which are also used for New Year's, are said to be auspicious plants, and it was customary to pray for domestic safety by keeping them close by.
    The most famous pattern of "Yoshidaya Te" by Yoshidaya Den'emon-ya, a Kaga artist of the Edo period, is depicted on this incense burner.
