These are the endangered mountain bongos that Kangarooi supports.
The largest of the antelope species, they have an iconic appearance with beautiful horns and chestnut-colored skin with 12 to 15 vertical stripes on their backs and are now endemic to Kenya.

"FEED THE BONGOS" The mountain bongo, a species unique to Kenya, is an endangered species with a wild population of only 70 or so.

They are the largest of the bovine family, and their numbers have been declining significantly over the years due to poaching, and the Mt. Kenya Wildlife Department is engaged in a breeding program to increase their numbers.

Kangarooi supports the Save the Bongo Project, and a portion of every Kangarooi purchase goes to feed the mountain bongos.
