    ZENJIRO Hojicha Powder

This hojicha powder is crafted from high-quality tea leaves grown on the highest tea plantation in Japan. Despite the challenging conditions of steep slopes, growers have preserved the plantation's tradition for over 600 years. Mino Shirakawa's premium tea leaves, produced in small quantities, are meticulously transformed into hojicha powder.

    GAP (Good Agricultural Practices)

Our fragrant hojicha powder adheres to GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards. It boasts a harmonious balance of catechin, a common astringent component in green tea, and pyrazine, an aromatic component developed during the roasting process, offering a mild aroma. ZENJIRO powdered roasted tea stands out due to its unique location—the highest tea plantation in Japan where optimal soil quality, temperature variations, and moderate sunlight create the perfect environment for cultivating tea leaves.

    Usage Instructions:
To prepare, simply mix 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) of powdered roasted tea with 200 ml of boiling water, stirring well. It complements milk in lattes and au lait and serves as a popular ingredient in smoothies, cakes, and ice cream.

    Storage Instructions:
After opening, seal the pouch tightly with the zipper and store it in a cool place. Our packaging, a Japanese 5-layer pouch bag, effectively prevents oxidation and features a convenient stand-up design.

    Note:
To preserve the tea's freshness, fold the open portion of the aluminum tea bag to allow proper airing, then secure it with a rubber band or stopper. This method prevents oxidation more effectively than transferring the tea to a can.
