Rui came across some large cacti while he was walking near Mt. Kenya, a place with high altitude, rocky terrain, and almost no living creatures.
The environment surrounding the cacti was very harsh, and the cacti, living alone in such a solitary environment, were very strong and seemed to be living independently, unaffected by the environment or other living creatures.
Rui expressed what he wanted to be through the cactus.
The color palette combines pinks and warm corals with faded blues and greens to give the thorny plants a bit of softness and femininity.
Rui sees a lot of herself in these cacti. Printed paper: Hybrid Bagasse FS (environmentally friendly product), made in Japan Rough-surfaced printing paper made of bagasse pulp, which is derived from sugarcane pomace.
One side is coated and the other side is uncoated. It has an uncoated texture, yet allows vivid color expression.

A species unique to Kenya, the mountain bongo is an endangered species with a wild population of only 70 or so.
They are the largest of the bovine family, and their numbers have declined significantly over the years due to poaching, prompting Mt. Kenya Wildlife Conservation Authority to undertake a breeding program to increase their numbers.
Kangarooi supports the Save the Bongo Project, and a portion of every purchase of Kangarooi products goes to feed the mountain bongos.
