Not just black, but real [smoked silver].
Smoked silver" is created by smoking silver.
The final result is blackened over time. The black foil that is burnished over time expresses the Japanese virtue of "wabi".
By pressing the black foil, which is not just black paper but shows different expressions on each piece, the uneven parts give a taste and make the fan a special one.
To directly convey the sense of the material of the foil, the foil is simply lined up and pressed in a plain manner.

The folding fan has always been a part of the etiquette of the art and samurai society, and has always been worn by the privileged class as a part of the Japanese spirit, just as the sword is.
