These bags are created by repurposing leftover fabrics and scraps from KILKI's clothing line. This charming bag combines denim with floral patterns, resulting in a one-of-a-kind item. If you're interested, we encourage you to purchase it soon.
KILKI's products are individually handcrafted by skilled Indian makers. Some items may have small stains or minor fabric weaving defects that prevent them from being offered to our regular customers. Despite these imperfections, we believe in a spirit of minimizing waste, especially when the fabrics are so delightful. The brand was born out of a love for fabric, with a desire for these pieces to be cherished by someone.
Our initiative involves repurposing the fabrics from our clothing into accessories, making sure they find a place in someone's hands.
From the artist: My passion for sewing began in childhood, initially creating dance costumes and evolving over 15 years. Presently, I work at a clothing alteration shop, resizing adult garments into children's sizes.
During the process of tailoring for children, I discovered the joy in repurposing unused items instead of discarding them. This led me to ponder the concept of mottainai (what a waste).
Each piece is meticulously crafted one by one, resulting in a slight variation due to the handmade process.
