    Glowing Kogin
    ANDON

[A pattern with many [hanako], which means "flower," scattered around.
The image of [festival night] such as illumination and lighting up.

Long ago, when farmers were still only allowed to wear hemp

In the extremely cold winter of Aomori, people started to stitch rough hemp to fill in the threads to keep their clothes warm and to make them last longer.
This was the beginning of Kogin Sashi.

This is a stand lamp (with a battery-powered light) with a pattern (modoko) cut out of the traditional Aomori craft [Kogin Sashimi].

The shade is made of warm high-quality paper, and the wooden frame is made of Aomori hiba (Aomori hiba).

    Includes: battery-operated LED light

    NATSUKO MIYAKOSHI

"Hikaru Kogin" and "Hikaru Kogin Production Kit" utilize Aomori's Kogin Sashimi patterns.
Kimono upcycled accessories and objects, known as Souzouka, use old kimonos as materials and apply the techniques of Tsumazaiku.

We manufacture and sell modern artworks, accessories, and table lamps that incorporate traditional Japanese techniques.

    Commitment to our products:

    • Kogin that glows long ago, when farmers were only allowed to wear hemp.
    • In the extremely cold winters of Aomori, people began stitching rough hemp, filling in the holes with threads to make their clothes last longer and keep warm as much as possible.
    • The Kogin-Sashi table lamp features the pattern (modoko) of Kogin-Sashi, a traditional Aomori handicraft, cut out.
    • The shade is made of warm high-quality paper, and the wooden frame is crafted from Aomori hiba. The wooden frame is assembled, and the pattern is hand-cut.

Souzouka Kimonos are filled with many memories, but they now lie in chests, no longer wearable.
SOUZOUKA unravels these kimonos, cuts them into small pieces, and crafts accessories or objects by hand.
Using the technique of tsumazaiku (a traditional Japanese craft of kneading), each flower petal is carefully made by hand.
