What is "Whale La Wrap"? Whale La Wrap is a reusable food preservation wrap, made by soaking organic cotton fabric in refined beeswax from Okinoerabu Island, meticulously handmade. Made from entirely natural materials, it can be composted after use, leaving no environmental impact. The beeswax offers moisturizing and antibacterial properties, ensuring food stays fresh and flavorsome.

Every winter, humpback whales visit the waters of Okinoerabu Island to raise their young, followed by sea turtles laying their eggs in spring and summer. "Whale La Wrap" was born from the aspiration to "protect this beautiful sea, teeming with life".

How to use: Simply place it over cut vegetables, fruits, cheese, bread, or any other item to wrap and warm it with the heat of your hands to mold it. There are several other ways to use the wrap, such as covering bowls or carrying utensils. Experiment and find your preferred method. After use, rinse it gently with water and air dry. It can be reused for 6 months to a year, depending on usage and care.

    Precautions for use:

    • Avoid microwave ovens, ovens, dishwashers, or dryers due to beeswax sensitivity to heat.
    • Do not use it on oily foods, raw meat, or fish, as beeswax cannot be sterilized with boiling water.
    • Avoid acidic foods like citrus fruits as they can affect the wrap.
    • For cleaning stains, use diluted dishwashing detergent and a soft sponge.
    • Avoid use on items that children under 1 year old or those allergic to honey might put in their mouths due to the beeswax content.
