Eternal Beauty Nishijin silk tie

This work expresses a dignified Japanese sense of beauty in an age of rapid change. Although the motif is cherry blossoms, this design can be enjoyed regardless of the season.

[The concept of "changing times and unchanging values" is what I try to express in my work. As one of the techniques, I expressed the floating effect of petals by applying a gradation to the background of cherry blossoms. The petals seem to dance in the breeze, or like petals moving on the surface of a river.

The hidden print on the reverse side of the large sword is the Fugaku Sanjurokkei (Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji) by Katsushika Hokusai (Shinagawa Gotenyama No Fuji).
