Over time, m.m.d. has evolved, actively engaging in the creation of original products in collaboration with Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, a hub for pottery production.

We aspire that the touch of uniqueness offered by m.m.d. will add vibrancy to your everyday life through our store and products. Our goal is to facilitate a connection between people and the rich traditions of the production areas. Our products, blending simplicity in design and user-friendliness, are crafted to seamlessly fit into modern lifestyles.

• HEGE was born out of the trust and technology for safe manufacturing that we have cultivated for more than 60 years since our establishment as a manufacturer that applies rust-free surface treatment to metal parts.
• We have applied our technological capabilities, which have cleared the high-impact tests of automobiles and home appliances, to the craft-like daily life tools that you use in your daily life.

Aluminum, a renewable resource, is carefully formed one piece at a time by "hera shibori," a process that requires a technique similar to handwork. The surface is then blasted to give it a sophisticated and austere texture and finished with a thick anodized aluminum film finish that increases surface strength while preventing corrosion.

The moderate thickness and surface finish also resist scratches and scorching, and the heat conductivity is moderately adjusted. Although it looks delicate at first glance, you will be able to enjoy the change in texture like denim as you use it.

We don't just 'use any part of the pearl oyster; instead, our pieces are meticulously crafted based on the brightness, pattern, and thickness of the oyster.

Under the guidance of Kazuhisa Sakai, a craftsman at Sakai Kougeisha, a shell craft company in Shima City, Mie Prefecture, I honed my skills. Now, operating as a pearl shell artist in a small workshop near the sea, I strive to create works that resonate with the present, employing traditional techniques of pearl shell cutting, polishing, and shaping refined over the years.
