This wooden wine glass (Chardonnay) is made of high-grade wood [mizumezakura].
Wooden vessels have low thermal conductivity, and are excellent in heat and cold retention. Unlike ceramics and glass, it is lightweight and resistant to breakage.

Of course, it is the perfect vessel not only for wine, but also for sake and other aromatic drinks.

The stem is also a gem, carved from a single piece of wood.

A strong maki-ji base (*Only ground powder and lacquer are used for the base) is applied to protect the wood base.
The base is coated with matte white Urushi lacquer to protect the wood.
*The bottom is coated with blue Urushi lacquer.
