The name "Kikusada" was initially adopted as a trade name by Sadakichi Koizumi, the fifth generation of Koizumi Seigawara, a tile manufacturer with a heritage spanning ten generations. Today, the brand name "Kikusada" represents the craftsmanship accumulated by Koizumi Seigawara over the past ten generations.

• The "Shiki" series coasters are crafted using our tile-making technology, with the tiles exhibiting water-absorbing properties to soak up water droplets.
• The Gazen series of tableware also leverages the same tile-making technology, but in this case, the water absorbency is minimized by baking the tableware at an extremely high temperature, forming an oxidized film.

We are a general wholesaler of Shigaraki ware located in the Shigaraki pottery production area in southern Shiga Prefecture. We distribute our products from the Shigaraki pottery production area to trading companies and stores nationwide.
