This lighting is a remake of an ashtray made by the Kiyomine Kiln of Kutani Yaki porcelain.
The motifs of blooming hydrangeas were painted one by one with careful brush strokes.
The delicate and dignified atmosphere is typical of Kutani ware.

In this season, the colors reminiscent of hydrangea in the rain give a quiet moisture to the space.
The contrast of blue and brown flowers and green leaves floating on a yellow background is also beautiful and somewhat modern.

The light reminds us of the changing seasons at a moment's notice.

[Development Background and Methods]
In recent years, the number of unused ceramic ashtrays has been increasing due to the decline in smoking rates and restrictions on indoor smoking. Ashtrays have regional designs and high craft value, and were once used as tools for entertaining guests.
Soilo remakes these ashtrays with "minimal processing" to reuse them by simply drilling holes and attaching a light fixture. This method has the advantage of reducing the environmental impact, utilizing the original design, and keeping the price low.
