Through the ages, people worldwide have bound threads of wishes to safeguard their loved ones. We've revived these cherished tokens in the modern era.

    Inspired by nadachadi, a sacred cord bestowed upon temple visitors in India by monks. Wrapping it until it snaps fulfills the prayer contained within the stone or the string's color.

    Moonstone, deeply connected to the moon and femininity, has been an integral part of religious rites since ancient times. Its unique shimmer displays an array of colors white, blue, yellow, pink depending on the light, captivating onlookers. Prized as travel talismans, they were often bestowed upon travelers by well-wishers praying for their safe journeys.

    The color and size of natural stones vary between pieces, with inclusions and the way light enters the stone being unique to each. Photographs aim to replicate natural stones as accurately as possible.

    While the natural stone section of the bracelet is securely glued, it may break under excessive pressure. Bracelets with insufficient materials for repair won't be accepted. Repair services, subject to material availability, incur additional charges and shipping costs borne by the customer.

    NIL SANDA means "blue moon" in Sinhalese. A "blue moon" can also refer to a moon with a bluish tinge. The second full moon of the month is called a "blue moon," occurring once every two to three years, signifying rarity or good omens.

    The correlation between the moon and a woman's mental and physical balance is well-known. The full moon is uplifting and often linked to increased childbirth, as observed by obstetricians. The connection between celestial bodies and human beings is ancient, dating back to our origins in the sea, influenced by the moon's gravitational pull.

    At NIL SANDA, we've chosen the name "Blue Moon" to symbolize constancy and support, aiming to help women achieve emotional stability. The incorporation of the blue of Sri Lanka, abundant in blue sapphires, represents the beautiful colors of the sea and sky.

    Designer Yamauchi has been in the design business since her early twenties. Recently certified as a yoga instructor, she hosts events to expand her student base, aspiring to grow as an instructor. Recognizing the challenges of maintaining a healthy mind and body, she offers jewelry as a hint for people to realize this and lead healthy lives.
