    Maison Masumi proudly presents our original organic cotton peshtemal, paying homage to the first sanctuary.

    We are deeply inspired by Turkey's nature, traditions, and history, reflected in our new Peshtemal collection, Göbeklitepe .

    The unfamiliar name "Göbeklitepe" translates in Japanese as the "hill of drum belly". This collection is inspired by my first visit in 2022 to the peshtemal production area, resulting in the completion of the GöbekliTepe motif.

    Peshtemals are traditional Turkish bath towels, known for being thin, lightweight, quick-drying, and smooth to the touch. Denizli, a region in Turkey, is renowned for its cotton and towel production. Buldan, situated further inland, is a production hub for hand-woven hammam towels known as Peshtemal, steeped in the heritage of traditional Turkish culture.

    Crafted entirely from 100% organic cotton, these hand-woven towels showcase exceptional breathability, absorbency, and moisture resistance. Their luxurious texture is gentle on the skin, ensuring peace of mind. Easy to care for and machine washable, these towels become more lovable with each use, making it hard to settle for any other towel.

    "Maison Masumi's brand story":
    Established in 2014, the Maison Masumi brand is the creation of Masumi, a designer with experience in lingerie and ladies' wear. Drawing inspiration from years of travel, especially in Europe, Masumi founded Maison Masumi to propose a wonderful everyday life. In April 2017, an atelier was established in Istanbul, a city that serves as a melting pot of cultures and races.

    In 2022, an additional atelier was established in Hamburg, Germany, marking our entry into the European market.

    We aim to shift towards a richer, healthier, and sustainable lifestyle surrounded by natural materials at Maison Masumi, steering clear of easily discarded clothes, additives, and plastic.
