The Taisho period, filled with an atmosphere of freedom and flamboyance, is said to be the transition period from the modern era to the contemporary era, and commercial design has always reflected popular culture.
The author, Katsumi Tsuji, was active as a graphic designer in the Taisho and early Showa periods, and left a significant impact and mark in the field of commercial design.
