December 2017 marked the culmination of a transformative year a time when I blossomed into a rainbow garden and miraculously saw my book come to fruition.
Even as of 2021, I remain immensely grateful for your support. Every time we hold an event, I personally sell these books, often hearing enthusiastic remarks like "Is this your book"? or I have this book! Last year, due to your overwhelming support, we had the book reprinted. Thank you immensely!
This book, a product of our beginnings, showcases the early works that have now become standard. Although it's been four years since its creation, my passion for it remains strong. While I aim to embellish the work itself a little with mosaic, I owe tremendous gratitude to the professionals who contributed to this book.
"Musubi" a tradition passed down in Japan for ages, represents more than a material it embodies love. Hence, I consider myself merely a conduit for its expression. I modify and create to suit the present while using a few fundamental techniques, preserving the depth of emotions woven into each "musubi".
Our predecessors, with their profound sensibilities, conveyed their heartfelt considerations through the mizuhiki string. My intention is to connect with you, share our hearts, and spread love to as many people as possible, hoping they'll appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture.
If you enjoy crafting by hand, I invite you to explore mizuhiki through this book. It's a reminder of the significance of conveying feelings to othersa t ool enabling us to rekindle the essence of expressing emotions.
This book illustrates various ways, from accessories to craft goods, employing a handful of basic knotting techniques.
Especially now, when many of us spend more time at home, I hope this book prompts reflection on what truly matters. May it be a reminder of the value in the moments we spend within our homes.
