Across history, people worldwide have tied wish threads to safeguard their loved ones. We've revived these cherished customs, acknowledging their relevance in the 21st century.

    Inspired by the nadachadi, a sacred cord wrapped around wrists by monks in Indian temples, believed to fulfill prayers when the cord snaps around the wrist.

    Cherry-colored coral, akin to a mermaid's cheeks, symbolizes pure love and dedication due to its gentle hue. It appears poised, awaiting the moment to fall in love, within the crystal-clear sea. Gazing upon it can uplift your spirits, evoking memories of first love. A touch of apatite, reminiscent of the tropical sea, has been added to evoke warm sentiments that nurture kindness among others.

    NIL SANDA means "blue moon" in Sinhalese. A "blue moon" can also refer to a moon with a bluish tinge. The second full moon of the month is called a "blue moon," occurring once every two to three years, signifying rarity or good omens.

    The correlation between the moon and a woman's mental and physical balance is well-known. The full moon is uplifting and often linked to increased childbirth, as observed by obstetricians. The connection between celestial bodies and human beings is ancient, dating back to our origins in the sea, influenced by the moon's gravitational pull.

    At NIL SANDA, we've chosen the name "Blue Moon" to symbolize constancy and support, aiming to help women achieve emotional stability. The incorporation of the blue of Sri Lanka, abundant in blue sapphires, represents the beautiful colors of the sea and sky.

    Designer Yamauchi has been in the design business since her early twenties. Recently certified as a yoga instructor, she hosts events to expand her student base, aspiring to grow as an instructor. Recognizing the challenges of maintaining a healthy mind and body, she offers jewelry as a hint for people to realize this and lead healthy lives.
