This is a Japanese zelkova bowl finished on the potter's wheel and finished with wipe lacquer.
A set of six pieces of different sizes are made by inserting them into each other.
They stack beautifully and are convenient for storage.
Originally, this lacquer ware was used as a vessel for Zen monks.
It is finished with wipe lacquer so that it can be used more casually.
It is an item that can be used in a variety of table settings.
