Why don't you make a lampshade using a traditional Aomori craft [Kogin Sashimi] pattern?
This product is designed with the image of a "winter night sky" by applying the pattern of "kogin-sashi" (modoko) to the two sides of the lampshade.

The only tool needed is a cutter!
Just cut out the printed pattern and assemble to create a fantastic lampshade.

Includes a battery-operated LED light that flickers like a candle and a base made of Aomori hiba (cypress).
This lampshade has a relaxing effect with the gentle light of a candle that does not burn, and the delicious aroma of Aomori hiba birch.

From the moment you open the seal of the kit, you will be able to smell the nice aroma of Aomori hiba (Aomori hiba).

You can arrange it to your own taste with colored pencils or crayons!

    Precautions for handling
Please use the attached light (or LED light). (Incandescent light bulbs may cause overheating and may cause ignition.)
Please store and use the product away from direct sunlight, high temperature and high humidity.
Be very careful when using a cutter.
Keep the LED light out of the reach of children (they may accidentally ingest it).

    NATSUKO MIYAKOSHI

"Hikaru Kogin" and "Hikaru Kogin Production Kit" utilize Aomori's Kogin Sashimi patterns.
Kimono upcycled accessories and objects, known as Souzouka, use old kimonos as materials and apply the techniques of Tsumazaiku.

We manufacture and sell modern artworks, accessories, and table lamps that incorporate traditional Japanese techniques.

    Commitment to our products:

    • Kogin that glows long ago, when farmers were only allowed to wear hemp.
    • In the extremely cold winters of Aomori, people began stitching rough hemp, filling in the holes with threads to make their clothes last longer and keep warm as much as possible.
    • The Kogin-Sashi table lamp features the pattern (modoko) of Kogin-Sashi, a traditional Aomori handicraft, cut out.
    • The shade is made of warm high-quality paper, and the wooden frame is crafted from Aomori hiba. The wooden frame is assembled, and the pattern is hand-cut.

Souzouka Kimonos are filled with many memories, but they now lie in chests, no longer wearable.
SOUZOUKA unravels these kimonos, cuts them into small pieces, and crafts accessories or objects by hand.
Using the technique of tsumazaiku (a traditional Japanese craft of kneading), each flower petal is carefully made by hand.

SOUZOUKA accessories- We have created a collection of Western-style modern designs based on the concept of "handsome elegance," easily matched with everyday clothes and dresses.

The design is characterized by Western-style modern aesthetics, grounded in the concept of "handsome elegance," easily complementing everyday clothing and dresses.
