19. masamune / masamune
This Nishijin brocade necktie features the motif of Lord Date Masamune, the founder of the Sendai clan, famous for his Dokuganryu (Dokugan Dragon), who was renowned as a Date man during the Warring States period.
The outer material of the tie is designed with a recognizable crescent-shaped helmet, the model for Lord Darth Vader in the Star Wars movie, and the color scheme of the tie is based on the color of the crescent helmet, which is jet black and gold. (darker than navy blue, a color of good luck favored by warriors) with gold stripes so that businessmen can wear it casually at work.
The lining on the back of the large sword is gold silk (Nishijin brocade) with cherry blossoms, the symbol of Sendai's reconstruction, and a wish for a bright future for the reconstruction of Sendai, which was the territory of Lord Date Masamune.
In addition, in order to express the dignified feeling of Lord Masamune, the interlining is also made of 100% wool with a double-sided brushed woolen core and a Sambell core, making it fluffy, thick, and heavier in the hand than a normal tie, and it is a high quality finish that is particular about the inside of the tie.
