Kinsai craft is a technique established in the Momoyama and Edo periods for applying gold leaf to cloth such as obi belts and kimonos.
This kinchi-shaped shoulder bag is made of a cotton pongee-style green fabric and mixed with a mixture of blue shell foil and burnt foil, making the most of this technique so that it can be used for a long time in modern daily life.
The shoulder is detachable, so it can be used as a purse bag as well.
*The "Yaki foil" is a foil that utilizes the sulfurizing properties of silver, which causes it to change color.
This foil discolors over time.
The same color foil and processing method cannot be used, so each foil is one-of-a-kind.
Both sides are patterned, and the lining is checkered.
