About the material.
The brass is solid and not plated. The subdued gold color of brass is unique and I like it very much.
Brass oxidizes faster than other materials and the color changes to a matte antique gold, a deep color.
The beauty of brass is that it will regain its original shine if you take care of it.
(You can use a cloth, but if you want to restore the color, soak it in vinegar, wash it with foaming soap, and wipe it dry. Also, a metal polishing cream will make it shine quickly.)
For long-term storage, place in a storage bag to avoid staining other items.
If you sweat, it may darken your skin, but it is harmless and can be removed with soap.
