New Beer Tumbler, the Hottest Item on TV!

The new beer tumbler was introduced in a spin-off project of the NHK program "Tameshite Gatten," broadcasted on August 12, 2011. It was also featured on the TV program "Cream Stew," hosted by Teppei Arita. It's ready!

Now, you can enjoy the creamy bubbles at home, as if poured by a skilled craftsman!

The result of joint research by the graduate school of Kyoto Prefectural University and researchers at the Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute. The research team asked themselves, "Can't we create thick and creamy bubbles by using the inner surface structure of a tumbler?" and developed a tumbler with a thick, creamy foam.

The outcome of this research was the development of the "Superlative Foam Beer Tumbler" (Shigaraki ware). This tumbler has numerous tiny holes on the inside, evenly densely packed. When beer is poured slowly along the inner surface, countless tiny air bubbles are generated from the holes and mingle with the beer, resulting in a creamy, fine-grained foam. It tastes just like beer on tap at a beer hall!

Magic foam that does not wilt even after 5 minutes. Even when poured by an amateur, the bubbles are as creamy as if poured by a skilled artisan. No special trick is required. Just tilt the cup slightly and pour the beer slowly along the inner surface of the cup. The foam will be as smooth and elastic as freshly whipped cream. The thick, creamy foam also acts as a lid, preventing the beer's carbon dioxide and aroma from escaping. Moreover, unlike ordinary cups and glasses, the foam does not wilt even after five minutes. In other words, once you have good foam, you can enjoy your beer until the last sip. The large capacity is enough for two 350-liter cans of beer. The more you use it, the more attached you will become to it.

A perfect companion for a relaxing time. A gift that will also be appreciated. Create a relaxing moment with a cup full of gentleness. It is sure to be a gift for that special someone. Pair cups are also available. Please specify "Pair in box" in the message function.

Commitment to Our Products:
The charm of Shigaraki ware lies in the simple texture of the clay and the power of its natural richness. With few painted products, a variety of glazes, and unique processes, including making large pieces, molding, drying, and firing techniques,

Shigaraki ware stands out. It is often described as "one kiln, two clay, three workmanship," showcasing the gradation of fire color produced by the flame. The ever-changing color tones and textures, such as ash-colored and burnt, contribute to the charm of Shigaraki pottery.

Loved for its simple taste and warmth, this tradition is inherited in our products, which are compatible with the life of nature itself and the soil. Handcrafted by skilled potters, each piece reflects their heart and soul.

We hope you thoroughly enjoy the unique taste and character of Shigaraki ware, created by the meticulous craftsmanship of our dedicated ceramic artisans.
