[Indigo and colored lights]

A pendant light remade from an ashtray of Arita-yaki(?) ware. This pendant light is a remake of an ashtray made by Eizan Kiln.
The deep indigo base color is quietly reflected in turquoise green and mustard yellow.

The painting is somewhat ethnic, reminiscent of some foreign country.
The delicate yet playful design adds a hint of individuality to the space.

[Development Background and Methods]
In recent years, the number of unused ceramic ashtrays has been increasing due to the decline in smoking rates and restrictions on indoor smoking. Ashtrays have regional designs and high craft value, and were once used as tools for entertaining guests.
Soilo remakes these ashtrays with "minimal processing" to reuse them by simply drilling holes and attaching a light fixture. This method has the advantage of reducing the environmental impact, utilizing the original design, and keeping the price low.
