About the material.
The brass is solid, not plated. The subdued gold color of brass is unique and very favorite.
Brass oxidizes faster than other materials and the color changes to a matte antique gold, a deep color.
The beauty of brass is that it will regain its original shine if you take care of it.
(You can use a cloth, but if you want to restore the color, soak it in vinegar, wash it with foaming soap, and wipe it dry. Also, a metal polishing cream will make it shine quickly.)
When storing for long periods of time, place in a storage bag to avoid staining other items.
