    A new type of one-tiered food box [IMPRESSION] by a German designer.
    This is a Suri-Urushi version of the IMPRESSION series, which is characterized by the lid with a hole in the middle.
    Originally designed by Wolf Udo Wagner, a famous German product designer.
    There are, of course, good reasons for the holes in the lid.
    The first reason is that we want people to feel the beauty of both wood and lacquer at the same time, which is unique to lacquerware. The lid has a clear finish that allows you to enjoy the original texture of the wood, and the red and black tones of the urushi lacquer inside peek out through the holes, creating an "impression" of the lacquer. The lid is slightly recessed in the center so that the focus is actually on the color of the lacquer inside.
    Secondly, when you serve a dish inside, you can see a glimpse of the dish through the hole, which increases the anticipation of opening the lid. This is a fun idea. Of course, the lid is also functional and easy to open.

    ◆Middle size in the series
    The [INPRESSION] series is available in three sizes, but this M size product is right in the middle of the three, with a diameter of 24 cm and a height of 6.5 cm.
    It is an easy-to-use size as a serving dish, so it can be used very conveniently. It can be used not only as a bowl to serve dishes for daily use, but also as a single layer for New Year's, as a tub for chirashizushi, or as a serving bowl for hors d'oeuvres and sweets at parties, etc.

    The body is available in two colors, red and black.
    The body is also finished with rubbed lacquer (wipe lacquer) to show the grain of the wood, and is available in two colors, red and black. It may be fun to have a set with different colors.
