Based on toy cars, these building blocks can be freely stacked and enjoyed. It is a toy designed for both adults and children who have an interest in cars. (The instruction manual contains numerous Chinese characters.)

The package includes the car itself, along with 14 pieces of plywood of varying thicknesses that serve as customizable parts. The car can be stacked with veneer parts to create vehicles of various shapes and sizes. Additionally, scenes such as ramps and parking lots can be constructed for children to play with.

The car's body is crafted from melamine veneer scraps, readily available at woodworking shops. It is scratch-resistant, allowing you to toss it into a toy box without worrying about scratches. The laminated veneer parts are made from basic material loss, minimizing the toy's environmental impact.

With several cars, the uneven modules are matched, enabling the cars themselves to be stacked.

Since the laminated veneer is bare, it can be painted in any color. You can also secure them with wood glue (being cautious not to get it on the tires), allowing you to create a more customized car that is uniquely yours.

For the sides of the car, you can choose from 5 different colors. (The color range will expand as more scrap melamine is produced.)

Each car is handmade one by one, and we hope you will appreciate the slight individual differences.

    NEWDAYS

With the concept of "sustainable living through products that evoke attachment," we strive to craft interior items that inspire a lasting connection.

Our goal is to create intellectually engaging products with comfortable forms, pleasing textures, and amusing features, enhancing your living space with items you'll cherish for a lifetime.

    Commitment to Our Products:

    • Mitsuhiro Ohata, engaged in interior design, illustration, and various home renovations, designs and produces the product brand "New Days Factory."
    • Our objective is to generate ideas and products fostering "new lifestyles," breaking free from conventional interior design constraints.

We aspire for our products, such as the "Trash Can Chimney as Interior" and "Hand Crafted Lampshade," to transcend their typical utility, seamlessly fitting into people's lives and enduring the test of time, garnering long-lasting affection. By doing so, we believe our contributions can foster a more sustainable and recyclable society.

In consideration of the global environment, we predominantly utilize "aluminum," renowned for its recycling efficiency and minimal environmental impact. We incorporate lightweight and durable materials like FRP to minimize energy consumption in logistics. Crucially, our focus lies on designing forms that evoke attachment, ensuring prolonged use.

Drawing inspiration from the nostalgic yet sleek designs of the mid-century (70's) era, coupled with a fascination for outer space, we gravitate toward industrial and retro-futuristic designs, forming the backbone of our creative process.
