This is a turban with a Ryukyuan pattern created by HOTEL LOCUS* on Miyakojima Island.
Ryukyu Pattern is a series of patterns drawn by Eri Shimatsuka, a textile designer active mainly in Scandinavia, on the theme of "folk crafts of Miyako Island".

About the pattern
KASURI SHIMA by Eri Shimatsuka
[KASURI SHIMA" is named after the Miyako Kamifu kasuri pattern, which has a meaning and name deeply rooted in the life of Miyako Island, and motifs such as birds, nails, cow skins, and pig feed boxes are selected and laid out in stripes.
