MON YO uses fabrics dyed by a technique called textile printing, which requires a high level of technical skill. Textile printing is a dyeing technique in which designs and patterns are printed on fabrics and textiles. One board is used for each color, so if the board is slightly off or the working speed is wrong, the pattern will not be uniform and the finish will be misshapen, requiring high skill. This process produces delicate patterns and tints, and even complex patterns can be beautifully reproduced. There are more than several hundred patterns available, and even the same pattern can be given a different look by changing the background color. The number of craftsmen who can dye complicated Japanese patterns is decreasing every year, and the patterns themselves are becoming more and more precious. We would like to convey the beauty of these fabrics by incorporating them into daily-use items and offering them as "garments created by a uniquely Japanese sensibility".
