In the past, when people enjoyed tsukimi sake, they enjoyed looking at the moon reflected in the sake cup rather than looking up at the moon in the night sky.
We have created a new sake cup based on the concept of the upside-down moon reflected in a sake cup.

The name of the sake cup is "Sakasatsuki.
Various images of the moon are expressed in six designs (Yoshi, Jugo, Kasa, Ariake, Misoka, and Sen) by lacquering and maki-e.

The brightness of the dawn is expressed with vermilion of lacquer and the light of the moon in it is expressed with gold maki-e.
The combination of lustrous Shu (red) lacquer and gold Maki-e gives this sake cup a gorgeous image.
