This is a platter from the "Kowansara" series of "first dishes" that can be used at the weaning ceremony as well as in everyday life.
The first meal plate is used once and then it is finished, and is expensive. But it is not the same as using cheap ones or renting them. [The Koawan-sara series was created in response to such voices.
The platters come in two colors, red and black. The grain of the wood is visible in the wipe lacquer, so you can enjoy both the color of the lacquer and the natural texture of the wood.

The designer is Kashige Miyake (miyake design), who also designs for MUJI.
